Sapsucker near Bartlesville
An unusual sapsucker was spotted a few miles northwest of Bartlesville today at the Mark and Kathy Beckwith home (2124 County Road 3102, gold/yellow house). They are willing to host birders who would like to look for it on Saturday, December 8, 2018 . The bird was first seen December 7 and spent several hours on the same tree behind the house, and eventually flew some distance away into denser woods behind the residents’ property. The bird was seen briefly at 8:00 am on December 8, but not after.
Thanks to a local photographer (Bill Riley) for most of the images on this page!
