School teachers and administrators, along with general audience members were asked if they would recommend the It’s All About Birds! program to other schools or venues. Here’s what they had to say:
“The possibilities are endless for tying the information presented about birds into the math curriculum. The students not only enjoyed the program, but we can work it into our instructional plans easily” – Lenita DeLozier, Sperry Middle School Math Teacher
“The students really enjoyed it!!! If it wasn’t for programs like this, some of these students would never know how important birds truly are.” – Jodee Pate, Pryor Junior High
“I would love for you to come back to Centennial Middle School (BA) to do the presentation. It was perfect last year and goes right along with our curriculum.” – Karen Holman, Centennial Middle School Science Teacher
“Thank you so much for letting our class visit the Sutton Center. It was amazing and we learned so much about birds! We really appreciate you taking the time to share the wonderful habitat with us!” – Jacque Bolte, Wayside Elementary
“The assembly was wonderful! I know a lot of work by many people has gone into preparing this. I sincerely want to thank you and the whole team.” – Becky Palmer, Collinsville Middle School

“We are so grateful that you came out again to put on your performance. We know everyone enjoyed seeing it – just as much as we did. We hope we can continue this relationship in the future. Thanks for helping make Spring Break Escape great!” – Sam Noble Museum of Natural History staff
“The program applied to science in many ways. Predator-prey interactions, such as owls and hawks, were discussed in detail. Ecology of grasslands and of forest ecosystems were illustrated, and the effect of each of these on specific bird species was also covered. Lastly, specific adaptations of individual species of birds they introduced were a major part of the program.” – John Edgar, Sperry Middle School Science Teacher
… and more to come!
